Basics of student loans

Federal student loans are a particular type of loans with a purpose to finance college tuition. Also, it covers the needed materials, supplies, and living costs. The need-based loan doesn’t require credit checks, so your credit score doesn’t matter in this case. This is an excellent option for students who don’t have enough money for college, but still want to pursue their dream job. However, if a federal student loan isn’t enough to cover the costs, you will need an additional private loan.

Requirements for getting a student loan

Student loans will cover four-year schools. In most states, the legal age for obtaining a loan is 18 years. While your credit score won’t be checked for federal loans, it will determine the interest rates for private student loans.
